Thinking Out Loud is an insight into the future. It showcases the work of the brightest young minds from Brunel University’s renowned School of Engineering and Design, as well as presenting the views of industry experts and opinion formers including Jeremy Clarkson, Joe Ferry and Lisa Tse.
The projects are grouped into four sections:
• SUSTAINABLE THINKING contains designs and strategies which aim to reduce environmental impact.
• TECHNICAL THINKING includes products and concepts which are innovative in their use of manufacturing, material and electronic technologies.
• HUMANISTIC THINKING presents products and concepts which improve the lives of specific target users.
• 4-DIMENSIONAL THINKING consists of digital, online and multimedia based concepts.
The wide range of projects include: The Air You Breathe: A respiratory protection device for the Chinese urban commuter; and WaterWing: a rapid response water purification system.
The engineers and designers featured here will shortly be providing solutions that lead to new businesses, services and products. This is your first chance to meet them and see what the future may have in store.
